THz micromachining presentation

17 April, 2019

For the 2nd Towards THz Communications Workshop held on 7th March 2019 at the Albert Borschette Congress Centre (CCAB) in Brussels, Prof. Joachim Oberhammer (KTH) contributed to the event with the topic of THz micromachining – enabling the large-scale exploitation of the THz frequency spectrum and Dr. Yinggang Li (EAB) had contribution with the topic of Point-to-point wireless links toward to sub-millimeter wave. They were the representatives of the Car2TERA project and shared that the workshop was completed succesfully.

The event was dynamic, several topics were discussed and divided into one plenary session and 3 main sessions:
• Session 1: THz Communication Electronic and Photonic Components and Systems
• Session 2: THz Communication Networks, Protocols and Architectures and User Cases
• Session 3: THz Communication Spectrum and Physical Layer

From the Car2TERA project consortium, Prof. Joachim Oberhammer (KTH) contributed to Session 1 with the topic of THz micromachining – enabling the large-scale exploitation of the THz frequency spectrum and Dr. Yinggang Li (EAB) had contribution in Session 2 with the topic of Point-to-point wireless links toward to sub-millimeter wave.
The 2nd workshop gathered together key performers currently working on, or having interest, in THz communications in order to explore future R&I plans for the future and provided input to EC for future calls.
